If you arrive in Turrialba, you are a person
who seeks the road less traveled. You are a traveler in
search of adventure, but in between adventures, you are
seeking an economical, clean, friendly, secure hotel, centrally
located and preferably owned and operated by someone
who is bilingual (English/Spanish).
The road has led you to
the Hotel Interamericano. You'll find the Interamericano in the
center of town by the tracks of the old railroad; it has become
the hub of the Turrialba kayaking and white water scene and
is frequented also by bird watchers, hikers and all sorts of
travellers.
Friendly customer service has become the
trademark of the place and people feel comfortable and
welcome. The hotel has undergone a major restructuring
(foundation and walls) to make it earthquake proof . We are
pleased to offer you an even safer environment, in case of a
natural event such as this! We've also added HOT water in
the showers, TV, and the entire building has been painted and
improved. We think you'll find it quite attractive next time you
visit us.

"we really enjoyed your hotel and the meals and the conversations with you.
I still can't believe that we stayed in such a nice room for so little money!
It is no wonder that 'the Lonely Planet'guidebook lists your business as a best
buy, and popular with the rafters! I really fell in love with Turrialba and wish
I could try living there. I will definitely return someday and when I do, I'll
again stay at The Interamericano." - Tom and Ashley Fleming

"Your hotel was the nicest and most friendly of all the hotels we stayed in Costa Rica."
- Marie Gosme, Paris, France
"thanks so much for your hospitality. You were all so very friendly and your
rocking chair is one of the best. I even grew to like the rooster!. All my best" - Mark Roberts, USA
